“I found it really creepy when Thane called my Shepard ‘siha’ even though she wasn’t romancing him. In fact, I don’t think he ever told her what it meant (I could be wrong because I was mostly picking the ‘renegade’ options when speaking to him), but still, I knew it’s a pet name he has for a romanced Shepard and that didn’t sit well with me. It wasn’t ~mysterious~ or ~sexy~, it was just Goddamn creepy.”

Siha, both to romanced and not romanced Shepard, is Thane’s way of showing  how much he respects Shepard. It’s something from his culture that is of great value to him, and I love that he calls his friend a warrior angel because that’s what she is. There are so many other things that he could have said instead but the focus is on Shepard’s ability to fight because that is what she does and who she is. Unlike DA2 where some companions seem to fall in love with you no matter what Thane is content to have a great friend and doesn’t express any unwanted affection. Neither does he go off on a jealous rant, none of ME2 companions do, if Shepard doesn’t show interest but romances Garrus or Liara. I’m sorry that it came across as mystreious or sexy to you in a creepy way, but as I see it, romanced or not, it doesn’t come across as either. To me it comes across as Thane respecting Shepard, regardless of circumstances, because she is an amazing fighter, commander and spectre.

Today’s edition of misreading everything:

(Style shifting: variation within English)

The style continuum: communism* – informal – formal
*(Casual)

Now I’m just imagining communism as a style of English and it amuses me.

I just found out that Helena Bonham Carter played Elizabeth Lavenza and now I want to cry because why the hell would you cast her her in that role. She’s a good actress, but for me she seems so wrong for the role.
I just really love Elizabeth okay.

I used my copy of the official Hobbit film book to facepalm and Cat told me not to move so she could get a picture and I think you can all see why.

I love useless teachers. We were told we didn’t need to sign and send in a form for our home exams to be accepted so no one did it and now it seems it was just pure luck he found out in time for us to go fix it. I guess I know what I’m doing tomorrow.
